En-Roads Climate Workshop
We are looking for planners and decision-makers in the planning profession to participate in an interactive workshop with a cutting-edge climate simulation tool!
As part of research being conducted at Newcastle University on the cutting-edge En-ROADS digital simulation model created by Climate Interactive and MIT Sloan we will be running a workshop to explore how this model might influence planning decisions. In the workshop, participants will interactively test proposed climate change solutions such as energy efficiency, carbon pricing, fossil fuel taxes, reducing deforestation, and carbon removal to instantly see the impact on global temperature and other factors. If you would be willing to participate in our research, please register at the following link:
Workshop participants will leave the workshop with knowledge and skills in how to use the freely available online En-ROADS tool for strategic planning on climate change mitigation. Participants do not need to have any prior knowledge of climate change. Breakfast and refreshments will be provided and travel can be reimbursed.
